How do I get there?

We have included a map and directions on our contact page and are only approximately 10 minutes from the A50. By the very nature of being in the countryside, getting to us may seem a little difficult as we are not on a major public transport route. If it is possible we ask you to try and make your own transport arrangements, but if you need a lift to Sherratts Wood then please contact us as we have our own wheel chair accessible mini-bus which we can arrange to pick you up in.

How much does it cost to visit Sherratts Wood Farm?
As we deliver such a diverse range of activities our price is bespoke to each Day-farmer or group of Day-farmers, therefore please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will be able to give you more information and create a programme that meets your individual needs.

As a guide, for individuals seeking therapeutic day opportunities through direct payments, prices start from £8.30 pp / hour. Significant discounts are available for large groups including schools and businesses.

If you are eligible for a Direct Payment or Personalised Care or Health Budget all you need to do is speak to your Social Worker or GP about using your direct payment to fund your Day-farming place at Sherratts Wood.

Our commitment is to deliver activities that are affordable and value for money for everyone. Who might be on the farm when I visit?
At Sherratts Wood we work with a wide range of people from different places and with different needs, therefore in addition to Brendon and Louise, there may be other people undertaking Day-farming activities during your visit.
We have a Safeguarding Policy and Dynamic Risk Assessment approach to ensure that the mix of groups remains safe and secure at all times

What happens if it rains?
We ask people to dress for the British weather and where possible will continue outdoor farming activity in the rain, however if this is a problem for you, or the weather becomes very bad we will make use of our training room, barn and workshops to undertake activities undercover. We are also able to dry coats during lunch on days when it is raining.
